Make Contractors Great Again is my personal company—built from necessity, not opportunity.
After decades in construction, I saw homeowners get burned and good contractors pushed aside by a system that rewards ads and speed instead of trust. MCGA exists to change that.
Every contractor here is hand-selected, vetted, and held accountable. This isn’t a search result—it’s a private trust network built on transparency, performance, and local expertise.
Our contractors don’t buy leads.
They don’t cut corners.
They don’t disappear.
— Chris Stoneberg

Yes. Make Contractors Great Again™ (MCGA) is a real, privately owned company founded by Chris Stoneberg, a longtime contractor and construction executive with decades of hands-on experience in the industry.
MCGA was created after seeing too many homeowners harmed by unvetted contractors and too many good contractors buried by pay-to-play lead platforms. This company was built from firsthand experience—not theory—with one goal: to raise the standard of trust and accountability in home improvement.
MCGA contractors are independent, locally owned businesses. They do not work for MCGA.
MCGA does not employ contractors, set pricing, or manage jobs. Instead, MCGA serves as a vetting, accountability, and oversight network. Contractors earn the right to be part of MCGA by meeting strict standards and maintaining them over time.
Every contractor goes through a multi-step vetting process before being approved. This includes license and insurance verification, background checks, reference checks, and a review of past performance and reputation.
MCGA also limits the number of contractors per trade in each ZIP code to ensure quality over volume. Vetting does not stop after approval—contractors are monitored continuously.
Once you submit a request, MCGA reviews your location, project type, and contractor availability in your area.
If a vetted contractor is available, you will be connected directly. If coverage is limited or unavailable, someone from the MCGA Trust Desk will contact you to discuss next steps. You are never automatically routed to random contractors.
You can always speak with a real person.
MCGA operates a Trust Desk specifically for homeowners who want answers, guidance, or clarification before moving forward. There is no pressure, no sales script, and no obligation—just straightforward information.
No. Homeowners do not pay MCGA to search for or be connected with contractors.
Contractors participate in MCGA as part of a vetted network, allowing the platform to remain independent and homeowner-focused. MCGA is not a lead-selling service.
MCGA provides oversight and accountability—not abandonment.
If an issue arises, homeowners can contact the MCGA Trust Desk. Concerns are documented and reviewed, and MCGA works to ensure communication, resolution, and accountability. While MCGA does not replace contracts or warranties, it exists to prevent the “disappearing contractor” problem.
Make Contractors Great Again™ (MCGA) is a private contractor trust network created to elevate reputable contractors and protect homeowners.
MCGA is designed for established professionals who operate the right way—licensed, insured, accountable, and reputation-driven. This is not a lead-selling platform and not a volume marketplace.
No. Contractors in MCGA remain fully independent businesses.
MCGA does not control pricing, scheduling, operations, or customer relationships. MCGA’s role is to vet, monitor, and represent contractors who meet its standards—not to manage their businesses.
All contractors go through a structured vetting process. This includes license and insurance verification, background screening, reference checks, and a review of work history and professionalism.
Approval is not automatic. MCGA accepts a limited number of contractors per trade and ZIP code.
Yes. MCGA strictly limits the number of contractors per trade in each ZIP code.
This protects contractors from overcrowded competition and protects homeowners from choice overload. MCGA prioritizes quality, consistency, and accountability over volume.
MCGA does not sell leads, auction customers, or rank contractors based on ad spend.
Contractors earn placement through vetting and performance. Homeowners come to MCGA seeking trust, not quotes from strangers. The goal is long-term relationships—not short-term transactions.
Contractors are expected to maintain licensing, insurance, professionalism, responsiveness, and ethical conduct.
Acceptance into MCGA is not permanent. Performance, homeowner feedback, and compliance are monitored continuously. Contractors who fail to uphold standards may be reviewed or removed.
Contractors may apply through the official MCGA application. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance.
If your trade and ZIP code are currently open and your qualifications align with MCGA standards, a member of the MCGA team will contact you with next steps.

No. MCGA is not a lead-selling platform.
We do not sell your information, auction off jobs, or distribute your name to multiple contractors at once. The goal is quality introductions and long-term reputation, not volume.
Contractors are selected through a structured vetting and approval process, which may include:
License and insurance verification
Business history and trade experience
Reputation and professionalism review
Alignment with MCGA standards and values
Acceptance is selective. MCGA limits participation by trade and area to protect the integrity of the network.
Yes. MCGA limits the number of contractors per trade and geographic area.

Respond professionally and promptly to introductions
Uphold licensing, insurance, and trade standards
Communicate honestly with homeowners
Maintain ethical and professional business practices
MCGA reserves the right to review performance and address complaints to protect the network’s integrity.
